The story
“Mixmetis is above all the story of a rebirth.
After experiencing the good and bad sides of different agencies, I understood that the success of a project lay in using the right method. These experiences were in fact the starting point for a profound transformation and the creation
of my own methodology.

Through a personal project with my husband, the renovation of our new house, we experienced a true creative liberation:
imagining without restraint, creating with our hands, experimenting,
listening only to our desires. The result is a cocoon in our own image,
where we like to recharge our batteries, share
and build memories with our family.
​
I now have a dream. To see as many different interiors
as there are people on Earth. In each home, to discover a story,
people who listen to each other, express themselves, assert themselves to create
a refuge that brings them well-being.

The founder
A graduate in interior architecture since 2010, Marie Arslan has worked for ten years on numerous projects combining luxury and functionality for individuals and professionals in France and Switzerland. She also worked on event scenographies for the luxury watchmaking industry in Dubai and Munich.
​
After a 3-year break, during which she was able to refocus on her husband and their three children, she founded the Mixmetis studio.
​
Taking the time to question herself, her essentials and her aspirations was necessary to breathe new life into her passion
for interior design.
​
This long process of introspection was also a tremendous period of creation and awareness. Sustainable production and consumption, French know-how, but also freedom to create, to be oneself and to dare to stand out are now part of her DNA.
The desire now is to share this vision
and give lasting meaning to her profession...

Meaning
The name Mixmetis was born from the contraction of two concepts: mixing and métissage.
Two notions dear to the founder's heart, which have given birth to this very personal brand.
The inspiration came from a family deeply marked by cultural crossbreeding
and the desire to mix all techniques, materials, new and recycled, she composes the brand's DNA.
Her universe then took shape, starting with a first collection of objects and small pieces of furniture.
It's thanks to these unique pieces, thanks to these moments of creativity,
that the founder freed herself, dared to experiment and create without restraint...
